Unlike standard "BPA-Free" plastics made from petroleum, our silicone is chemically inert and stable. It won’t warp and it won’t leach.
Research shows that the friction of opening a plastic lid sheds microplastics directly into your water. By removing the plastic lid, we removed the problem.

To understand why we use silicone, you have to look at the molecules.

The Plastic Problem: Plastic is made from petroleum (oil). Its long carbon chains are prone to fragmentation, especially when heated or twisted. This is how microplastics end up in your water.

The Silicone Solution: Our silicone is derived from silica (natural sand). Its molecular backbone is significantly more stable, making it heat-safe.
